The Farm Credit Archive has been designed to offer visitors from around the world a glimpse into the rich history of the Farm Credit System.

This site is a virtual library and archive, with documents in all formats, from a variety of institutions, both public and private.  A team of researchers has pulled official government reports, personal letters, photographs, political cartoons, newspaper and journal articles, and videos from collections around the country, and made them available to the public through this interactive site.  It is the intention of the Farm Credit Archive to provide access to the history of rural credits to a wide audience.

Doucments representing all eras and regions of the Farm Credit System's history are available on this site, searchable by keyword, and they may be downloaded, emailed, or printed.  It is our intention to eliminate the hassles and expense of archival research, while opening the insights made possible by close examination of the sources, to the public.  With that in mind, we ask that users credit both the Farm Credit Archive, and the original repository from which each document has been gathered, as part of the process of proper attribution.

Questions about the use of the site, or about further resources, can be directed to the webmaster through the Contact Us tab.

Thank you for visiting the Farm Credit Archive.
